Our eco-wooden chalet NEST is located on the outskirts of the mountain village of Brenzio, located at approx. 500 m, above Consiglio di Rumo and Gravedona ed Uniti, on the northwestern shore of Lake Como. The small, picturesque town is about a 15-minute drive from the lakeshore and is the ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet, nature lovers and all those who consciously want a little distance after a day in the summer hustle and bustle of the Lario.

The name of the Chalet NEST says it all, because the comfortably and cosily furnished 45 sqm one-room chalet in tiny house style, with its gravel terrace and garden property fenced on three sides, is made for couples who want to be together and privacy, no matter whether young or old.

The furnishings of the accommodation are not only characterized by their modern look, they also offer everything you need for a pleasant stay for two in a small space: a comfortable double bed measuring 160 x 200 cm, a wardrobe and a sideboard for clothes , a fully equipped kitchen block with induction stove, oven and refrigerator, a dining table with seating, two heat pumps for cooling in summer and warming in winter, a sofa for two people, satellite TV and a tiny bathroom in the basement with shower and toilet. In the garden area and on the terrace, a picnic bench, a table with two chairs and two deck chairs with a parasol invite you to linger. There is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer available for use in the basement.The accommodation also includes a private parking space, which is located directly in front of the house.

From the equally sunny and shady garden plot, the neighboring grounds and the chalet's windows, guests can enjoy spectacular views over the lake, its mountains and the nearby Valtellina. The adjacent forest, the Liro Valley and the surrounding mountains with their many small towns invite you to take easy walks and hikes lasting several hours.

Bed linen is already included in the rental price; a set of towels can be booked for EUR 15 per person per stay.

Smoking, hosting parties and bringing pets are not permitted in Chalet NEST.

Unfortunately, the accommodation is not suitable for small children or allergy sufferers.

The location

From the Chalet Nest you can start wonderful smaller excursions as well as more demanding hiking or mountain bike tours in the partly wild and untouched nature of the local area. For example, you can reach the Ponte Majavaca at the end of the Liro Valley via an easy-to-follow forest path, climb the Passo S. Jorio by mountain bike or explore the higher mountain villages on an extensive hiking tour.

Fans of good taste will also get their money's worth in Brenzio.In the town center is the Ristorante Pizzeria La Fattoria, which is well known outside of Brenzio and is popular with tourists and locals alike. In addition to a large selection of typical local dishes, fish, meat and pasta dishes, you can also find very good pizza here. Just a 20-minute walk from Brenzio, in Stazzona, is the Ristorante La Trave, which serves high-quality food and offers an unforgettable view of the lake from its terrace. Things are more rustic below Stazzona, because this is where the Crotti of Stazzona are located, which impress with good home cooking and equally fantastic views.

For your daily needs of breakfast rolls, cheese and sausage, there is a small Alimentari, the Italian version of the corner shop, also in Stazzona.

The natural combination of mountains and lake offers a variety of opportunities to make your stay on site sporty and active. Water sports enthusiasts find their happiness in and on the water of Lake Como, while summiteers and mountain bikers enjoy conquering the many meters in altitude of the surrounding landscape.

Brenzio is about 15 minutes from Gravedona ed Uniti, the closest town on the shores of Lake Como. Gravedona ed Uniti is not only one of the most picturesque places on the coast of northern Lake Como, but also has numerous cultural and art-historical sights to offer.
